Košice recently hosted an international student hackathon that brought together 146 participants from multiple countries, fostering an environment of creativity, collaboration, and rapid innovation. As a platinum sponsor, the INVESTech project contributed with its dedicated challenge: “The Multi-modal inclusion engine”, focusing on how digital technologies can be designed to improve inclusion, accessibility, and equal opportunities for diverse groups in society. A total of 6 teams worked on the INVESTech challenge, developing solutions that combined technical excellence with a strong social dimension. The evaluation involved representatives from ASTRA NGO, IT Valley Košice, and the Technical University of Košice (TUKE), reinforcing the link between education, industry, and societal needs. Beyond technical innovation, the event highlighted an important message: technology can—and should—play a role in creating more inclusive and accessible environments. Supporting such initiatives allows INVESTech to not only strengthen digital skills, but also encourage solutions that respond to real challenges faced by different communities.
