The next phase of the INVESTech project focuses on formalizing a model for the five national CoVEs, outlining roles, responsibilities, and decision-making processes tailored to each country's needs. A transnational platform will foster long-term cooperation, sharing expertise, and best practices, supported by an online portal that will enable international collaboration. Additionally, the project will join the ENE European Network of Excellence and sign the European Pact for Skills, committing to upskilling and sustainable labor market development.

What is the difference between a Vocational Training Centre and CoVE? The analysis shows that, in general, compared to a VTC, a CoVE has a significantly broader scope and focus that is on holistic professional development. The article points out 5 main differences.

At the heart of INVESTech lies a bottom-up approach to vocational excellence, engaging a wide range of stakeholders at the regional level. NVESTech will establish a transnational cooperation platform for CoVEs in the ICT sector, elevating efforts from regional to European levels. Through this collaborative effort, we envision VET playing a central role in driving innovation, supporting green transition, and fostering social inclusion.

CoVEs in the ICT industry can play a vital role in promoting professional training, research and innovation and thus be of immense help to this industry. CoVE must be designed in such a way that it can perform certain functions and activities seamlessly. There are seven functional areas listed and described in the article.

The EU's concept of excellence in vocational education and training is characterized by a holistic learner-centered approach. In the article are described the characteristics of a CoVE and its taxonomy.

Interesting and instructive are the results of the study of the European Training Foundation (ETF), shared in its report "CoVEs: processes and practices. Study of working processes and key practices of CoVEs for advancing autonomy and PPPs". The article is focused on the main challenges and lessons learnt which fall into eight categories as stated in this report.
