ABOUT THE PROJECT

INVESTech project aims to: Create Centres of Vocational Excellence: Establish Centres of Vocational Excellence in Košice (Slovakia), Attica (Greece), Sofia (Bulgaria), Nicosia (Cyprus), and Klaipeda (Lithuania) and Develop a Sustainable Platform for International Collaboration: Create a transnational platform to foster cooperation and exchange of good practices among the Centres of Vocational Excellence (CoVEs) and relevant stakeholders.

INVESTech seeks to promote the innovation potential of VET in the participating countries by fostering collaboration between education, the labour market and other stakeholders; facilitating the development of skills and use of innovative technology; promoting green transition and social inclusion; providing opportunities for international collaboration and exchange of good practices, thus ensuring that VET can play a major role in supporting innovation, skills development, green transition and social inclusion.

INVESTech will promote the creation of CoVEs in five European regions (Košice in Slovakia, Attica in Greece, Sofia in Bulgaria, Nicosia in Cyprus, and Klaipeda in Lithuania) by incorporating the Quintuple Innovation Helix (Q2IH) Framework, which promotes partnerships among the academic community, industry, public sector, civil society, and natural environment. By promoting collaboration among diverse types of stakeholders, the project aims to support the alignment of CoVEs with regional smart specialisation strategies with emphasis on sustainable development and innovation.
