The 1st Hackathon in Lithuania took place on April 23-25th at the Klaipėda Science and Technology Park, providing a unique opportunity for students to practice their programming, engineering and pitching skills. 8 teams of 3-5 members pitched their ideas, which were generated during 3 hackathon days. During all 3 hackathon days teams were mentored by 11 mentors specialised in programming, marketing, communications, logistics, business consulting, automation and social inclusion fields. During the second day of the DIGI4all hackathon teams also had an opportunity to practice their pitching techniques and receive mentors’ suggestions on how to improve their ideas and pitches before the final event. DIGI4all hackathon for social inclusion and sustainability generated unique yet market-fitting ideas and even received financial offers to keep working on teams ideas in order to make a real change in the organisation presenting the challenges.
