The article presents some of the results of the study conducted for the needs of the establishment of CoVE Bulgaria. Exemplary trends in the labor market in the IT sector are indicated, which are indicators of the changes in the skills needs in this sector. The new specific skills and competencies of the ICT sector are listed, which will require special efforts from the educational system in the country as well as the excellence in VET to upskill the qualifications of young people, as well as specialists and trainers.
