The vision of Košice IT Valley cluster is to create a technologically advanced and innovative business environment in eastern Slovakia. Košice IT Valley works towards making the eastern Slovak region a center of excellence for business, research, and education, and a place where technological solutions with global reach are developed. It seeks to create an environment where talented individuals can find high-value-added work and progress, and where companies can grow and develop. Košice IT Valley aims to improve the quality of life in the region and provide added value not only for the local community but also for Slovakia as a whole and international markets. Košice IT Valley focuses on three pillars: • Eastern Slovakia as a good place to live • Innovation • and education. The cluster collects and provides data to increase the investment attractiveness of the region and thereby stimulate economic growth. In the field of education, Košice IT Valley ensures curricula, programs, and initiatives to enhance digital skills in the ICT sector to prepare the future workforce for labor market demands. Educational activities also support local professional communities and raise awareness about technologies and ICT. In the area of innovation, Košice IT Valley creates conditions for knowledge and technology transfer between academia and the ICT industry, organizes educational and awareness-raising activities, events, workshops, and competitions to increase the innovation potential of the region. Currently, Košice IT Valley has 83 members, including ICT companies, educational institutions, non-profit organizations, and regional authorities.
