DIEK Glyfada's, recently renamed as Peiramatiki SAEK Glyfada's is supervised by the General Secretariat of Vocational Training Education, Lifelong of Learning, with the mission of providing Initial Vocational Training to upper secondary graduates. It hosts 410 students, 93 instructors in the current semester divided in 12 specialties, developing in 19 classes in the fields of Economics and Administration, Health and Welfare, Retail Business, Information Technology, Applied Arts and Food.The School offers NQF and EQF 5 level vocational programs and belongs to post-secondary non-tertiary formal education. Graduates can sit for exams to enter University after successful accreditation exams. Upon completion of their studies, graduates receive a Vocational Training Diploma of EQF level 5 and ISCED 3. Our School is the 1st experimental vocational training institute in Attica and one of the first 5 experimental institutes all around Greece. Being the 1st experimental institute is a testament to the quality and innovation of our vocational training institute's internationalization strategy. This recognition brings many benefits to our organization.As an experimental institute, having adopted a European culture, we have the opportunity to develop and test new approaches and techniques in vocational training, which could have a significant impact on the wider VET sector. This includes exploring new pedagogical methods, developing new curricula, or using cutting-edge technology to enhance the learning experience. In that sense we have already signed MoU with LIDL HELLAS and have created the new specialty "Retail Executive" which is hosted in our School. Additionally, we are running the experimental specialty "Digital marketing in e-commerce" which started for the first time in October 2022. The School also participates in projects implemented by E.O.P.P.E.P., in pilot researches with CEDEFOP. Our status as an experimental institute also seems to attract a diverse and talented group of trainers and trainees to participate in our innovative programs. This, in turn, provides us with a wealth of perspectives and ideas, which will be valuable for our continued growth and success.
