Privacy Notice for the INVESTech Web Portal
This notice explains which personal data the INVESTech portal collects when you register, apply for courses and take part in them, why it is used, who can see it and what your rights are.

Who is responsible for your data

What we collect
- Your account: name, email address, country, role (learner or member) and your password, which is stored only in encrypted (hashed) form.
- Members: your organisation and, if you provide them, its website, picture and description, your address and phone number.
- Course applications: the course offering, host university and language you choose, the documents you upload with an application (for example a CV), and the decision on it.
- Learning records: whether you completed a course and your certificate.
Why we use it
- To create and manage your account and to send you service emails (account confirmation, password reset, application decisions).
- To let the partner universities and instructors running a course offering review your application and teach you.
- To give you access to the course in Moodle and to record completions and certificates.
- Newsletters are sent only if you subscribe to them.

Moodle learning platform
Courses are taught on the INVESTech Moodle site (investech.frederick.ac.cy). When you register, an account is created for you there with your name, email address and the password you chose. When your application is accepted, you are enrolled in the Moodle course of your language and added to the group of your offering. The portal reads back your completion and certificate from Moodle.
Who can see your data

Your rights
Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) you can ask to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to its use, and to receive it in a portable format. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. You can also complain to your national data-protection authority.

Voluntary participation
Taking part in INVESTech courses and activities is voluntary. You can withdraw a pending application yourself and stop taking part at any time.
